The Ohio State Buckeyes first wore scarlet pants in the 1950s, but then unveiled their color rush all-scarlet uniform combination in 2021 against the Penn State Nittany Lions. Ohio State beat their visitors 33-24 on October 30. Now, as they host Tennessee in the first round of the 12-team College Football Playoff, they're hoping that combination is in their favor again.

The Buckeyes teased the all-red uniform combination on Twitter, using several red circle emojis. This appears to be another attempt to "Scarlet the Shoe" as they did against Penn State.

We can guess that Tennessee will assume its all-whites and traditional away uniform. The Buckeyes look to avenge its recent home loss to Michigan and move the fanbase away from the proverbial ledge.

Maybe looking sharp will help the Buckeyes execute.
