The Ohio State Buckeyes are looking to add to their future playmakers, and this time, want to poach a California pass-rusher to their defensive core. The 2025 Ohio State recruiting class is stacked, but the Buckeyes can't allow potential stars to slip through their fingers.
One of those potential stars was committed to UCLA, but they're closing in on flipping him to Ohio State. 2025 4-star edge-rusher Epi Sitanilei is now being projected to land in Columbus by On3 recruiting insiders Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons.
Sitanilei was in the house for Ohio State's matchup with Michigan this past weekend. The 6-foot-5, 220-pounder is a star for California powerhouse St. John Bosco. With an 80-inch wingspan and elite testing measures for being a high school athlete, he'll be a developmental prospect if he joins the program.
As it stands, the Buckeyes should return Caden Curry, Kenyatta Jackson Jr., Dominic Kirks, and Joshua Mickens, from this year's roster, pending any transfer portal losses. 5-star freshman Eddrick Houston will be moving to tackle full-time next year.
