Ohio State vs. Nebraska Player Props to Consider

Player props are not legal in the state of Ohio, but if you're elsewhere, you might be able to find options at a daily fantasy site under the guise of going higher or lower. It's not uncommon for matchups with projected blowouts to not feature player props.

Ohio State vs. Nebraska Betting Prediction and Pick

Last week, Nebraska entered as the underdogs, but few could have predicted just how poorly things would unfold. In their matchup against Indiana, Nebraska’s offense managed only seven points while their defense allowed 56, resulting in a heavy loss.

Dylan Raiola, appearing inexperienced, completed 28 of 44 passes for 234 yards, with no touchdowns and three interceptions. Even in their previous game against Rutgers, where they found victory, the offense scored only 14 points.

This season, Nebraska averages 25 points per game while the defense concedes 17.7 points. Offensively, they're ranked 90th in the league, while defensively, they hold the 19th position. For the upcoming game, Raiola will need to significantly elevate his performance.

On the other hand, Ohio State understands the importance of a flawless season to secure a spot in the college football playoff, and they cannot afford to stumble here. Their last match against Oregon was competitive, yet they fell short, losing 32-31 after failing to make crucial plays in the end.

Quarterback Will Howard's late-game mistakes led to the loss, but he still completed 28 of 35 passes for 326 yards and two touchdowns. TreVeyon Henderson contributed with 10 carries for 87 yards. Ohio State averages 43.5 points per game while their defense allows just 11 points, boasting a 6th place offensive ranking and a 3rd place defensive ranking in the league.

Ohio State vs. Nebraska Prediction

Expect Ohio State to come into this game with intensity and put on a strong performance. With Raiola’s struggles continuing, Nebraska is likely to find it very challenging against Ohio State's elite defense. Will Howard is primed to take advantage of the Nebraska defense, and this game could get out of hand quickly. It’s a smart move to back Ohio State against the spread in this matchup.

I'll take the Buckeyes to cover once again.
