Former Georgia Bulldogs and current Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Ladd McConkey popped off in Week 8 against the New Orleans Saints.
McConkey snagged all six of his targets for 111 yards and two touchdowns as the Chargers went on to beat the Saints 26-8.
On one of his touchdowns Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert connected with him for 60 yards.
It was his best game of the season so far.
After the win, McConkey spoke to reporters about his "effortless" transition to the NFL and credited Georgia football and head coach Kirby Smart for making it so easy for him.
"It's definitely been a transition," McConkey said. "You know, I wouldn't say effortless but I feel like coach Smart and everybody at Georgia kind of prepared me for this. We practice hard at Georgia. We take game reps at practice so now it just transitioned over here and continuing that, but taking it to another level. That's kind of what it is. There's good days, there's bad days that ya'll don't see. So yeah, just stacking days and then coming out and put it on the table on Sundays."
McConkey, a second-round pick by the Chargers in the 2024 NFL Draft, has reeled in 30 catches for 374 yards and four touchdowns through seven games.
