This week, Oklahoma's top NIL collective, 1Oklahoma, announced a major accomplishment regarding their donations.
1Oklahoma reached its $2 million matching gift challenge that was presented by an anonymous donor. In August, a donor agreed to match contributions dollar for dollar up to $1 million through the 2024 season. The Sooners crossed that threshold with three games left to spare on the schedule.
To celebrate the milestone being achieved early, the donor has also extended an additional $1 million matching gift challenge. Every contribution made to 1Oklahoma will be met dollar for dollar up to $1 million if the stretch goal is attained by Dec. 31, 2024.
Established in June 2024, 1Oklahoma is the University of Oklahoma's official NIL initiative. This $2 million was the largest funding campaign the collective had put together.

With the importance of NIL across college athletics, Oklahoma needs to stay competitive against the other top schools in the country.

"Your support for 1Oklahoma allows us to do just that, building a sustainable foundation for success. We are thrilled to have met the challenge and are even more excited to keep the momentum going with the additional $1 million match."
