The LSU Tigers struggled a little more than they should have against FCS opponent Nicholls State by a score of 44-21. Garrett Nussmeier threw for 302 yards and six touchdowns and the defense forced a safety early on.

Through two games, the Tigers have one of the more explosive offenses in the SEC and their success has been recognized by ESPN as College Gameday will be in Colombia, South Carolina for the Tigers game against the Gamecocks.

The Tigers have been featured on College Gameday frequently in their history, including their last appearance in Tuscaloosa last season when the Tigers lost to the Crimson Tide by a score of 42-28.

Overall, the Tigers have a record of 21-13 when being featured on College Gameday, which is an impressive record, especially since it's viewed as one of the best games of the week by ESPN.

The game will kick off at 11 a.m. CST on ABC next Saturday.
