The Vanderbilt Commodores (9-14, 0-10) remain winless in the SEC following a tough 77-67 loss against the Alabama Crimson Tide (15-8, 6-4).

Vanderbilt was able to get several players engaged early in the game, which allowed multiple players to make an impact.

With just under eight minutes remaining in the first half the Commodores were only down by two, 20-18. However, Vandy allowed the Crimson Tide to get on a roll and increase their lead to eight with just under two minutes to play ion the half.

Vanderbilt went into halftime down 38-31. While a win was certainly still obtainable, Vandy had an uphill battle.

Alabama opened up the second half on a 7-0 run, which forced Vanderbilt Head Coach Bryce Drew to call a timeout.

However, Vandy answered later in the second half by going on a 17-3 run of their own.

The second half was even more competitive, with Alabama narrowly outscoring Vanderbilt 39-36 in the final 20 minutes and ultimately coming away with the win.
