The Oregon Ducks are working to steal an elite five-star recruit from an SEC program.
2025 five-star quarterback Husan Longstreet has been committed to the Texas A&M Aggies since mid April, but that hasn't stopped programs from continuing to pursue the California native.
Oregon, specifically, is a program that Longstreet says is still recruiting him "hard".
Longstreet, however, says he's "locked into" his commitment to the Aggies.
“Oregon is still going hard,” said Longstreet this past weekend (via Rivals.com).
“They really want to get me down for an official just so I can get that real feel," added Longstreet of the Ducks' interest. "That’s really what it is. I’m considering it because they came on late, but I’m locked into Texas A&M.”
While Longstreet says he's locked in with Texas A&M, he was also quick to note that he's a big fan of Oregon head coach Dan Lanning.
“Coach Lanning I love his personality, just the way he is,” said Longstreet. “Everything he does, he attacks it."
If Oregon can get Longstreet on campus for an official visit, it could give the five-star recruit plenty to think about. And it wouldn't be a surprise if the Ducks become a major threat to flip the coveted 2025 quarterback.
Longstreet, 6-foot-2/195 lbs from Corona, CA, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 4 quarterback in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of California.
