Kirby Smart and Georgia football have done it yet again on the recruiting trail, adding another name to the defensive side of the ball for the Class of 2025 as Prince Avenue Christian defensive lineman Christian Garrett announced his commitment to the Bulldogs.

His decision was originally supposed to come at a later date, but after he spent some time sitting down with Georgia defensive line coach Tray Scott, Garrett committed earlier than even he expected to do so. With the commitment, several other prestigious programs lose out on Garrett, including Tennessee, 

The four-star prospect has shown a high level of versatility at the high school level, taking part in both track and field and football. He won the Georgia High School Association Class 1A state shot put title earlier in the year and was also a large part of three state championship teams.

He currently ranks as the nation’s No. 15 defensive lineman and the No. 128 overall prospect for the Class of 2025, according to the 247Sports Composite.

“Georgia has everything I want as a player and everything me and my family wants as a player,” Garrett said in a recent interview. “I always wanted to go there. It has been a childhood dream. This has been my favorite team since childhood. You can’t go wrong with it.”

“They are getting a combo end and they also are going to get my all, too."
