The 2024 NFL Draft is behind us. The NFL offseason is now in full swing. Next up: Rookie Minicamps. A few NFL teams have already met for their minicamps in the last week. The New York Giants will be welcoming all of their draft picks, undrafted free agent signings, and camp invite players for their rookie minicamp this week!
Rookie Minicamp activities for the Giants will start May 9th and conclude on the 11th. This is a great opportunity for each and every incoming rookie to make their presence known, proving to the team that they're ready to make an instant impact in year one for the team.
Let's dive into some of the new players who will be making their first appearance at rookie minicamp and could be primed to break out this season for the Giants!
Malik Nabers, WR
Over the last two seasons at LSU Malik Nabers racked up almost 2600 receiving yards and found the end zone 17 times for the Tigers. In 2023, he led all receivers in yards per game, yards per team pass attempt, and virtually every single first down-related rate statistic. Nabers was unstoppable.
He won't likely need to get up to full speed at the Giants rookie minicamp this weekend, but here's a sneak peak at his game-changing ability in the post below.
Having a wide receiver with elite YAC ability, speed, deep game nuance, and savvy to find the soft spots in zones should completely revolutionize the Giants' offense in 2024.
Andru Phillips, CB Kentucky
Not many cornerbacks in the 2024 NFL Draft class will be asked to play a more significant role on their new NFL team than Andru Phillips. He plays with great physicality and burst that make him the perfect CB2 to pair with Deonte Banks this season.
Phillips was a bit of a late riser in the NFL Draft process, but after the draft was heralded as one of the best value selections made by any NFL team this year. Phillips can play slot if need be, but expect him to play a lot of outside cornerback as a rookie for the Giants.

Tyler Nubin, S Minnesota
General manager Joe Schoen had an easy decision to make selecting Malik Nabers in round one, but perhaps made an even more obvious decision taking Tyler Nubin in round two. As the NFL Draft approached one thing became abundantly clear: Tyler Nubin was the best safety in the class.
Nubin somehow only allowed six receptions for the entire 2023 season, forcing a passer rating of 39.6 when targeted by opposing quarterbacks (according to PFF).
Throughout Nubin's five-year career he only allowed 30 total receptions, a 34.5% completion rate when targeted, snatched up 13 interceptions, and defended more than a dozen additional passes. He boasts incredible range as a free safety and consistent tackle efforts against the run. Nubin should immediately be the best safety on the team, filling one of the most glaring needs on the entire roster in 2024. He'll start from day one. No doubt about it.
