Seminoles already have a pretty significant advantage in their first ACC game of the season vs. Virginia despite being on the road
The Florida State Seminoles hav the much better injury report going into their first ACC game against Virginia.
The Florida State Seminoles are set to have a pretty significant advantage over Virginia when the Noles play their first ACC game of the 2025 season this Friday. That advantage is, of course, health.
The Noles seem to be a lot healthier than Virginia is, and that’s perfect for a game that’s on the road against what can be an electric offense.
Florida State Seminoles at Virginia Cavaliers injury report
Coming into this game, the Seminoles are the favorite, clearly, as Virginia isn’t ranked, and the Seminoles have yet to lose. However, the only real formidable opponent that the Noles have played is the Alabama Crimson Tide. Other than that, two teams that are either FCS or on the verge of being an FCS team. But Virginia is not a bad team, as they are a top-five yards per game offense in the country.
However, things won’t be easy for them at all, especially not with the injuries they have on both sides of the ball. Virginia has 13 players listed as out, and one as questionable. Nine of those are all on the offensive side of the ball. Sure, most of them are guys who don’t see the field a ton, if at all, but that’s still depth they won’t have, and you never know when you will truly need your depth.
However, Wallace Unamba, their starting left tackle, is out, and Brady Wilson, the starting center, is questionable. That should help the Noles, but they have some pretty significant injuries of their own. FSU has six guys listed as out, including linebacker Ethan Pritchard, who hasn’t been with the team yet due to an incident outside of football.
Running backs Kam Davis and Roydell Williams are out, which are two guys who definitely play a factor for the run game, whether it’s as depth pieces or main guys. True freshman wide receiver Jayvan Boggs is one of the few questionable guys listed, as he’s played a role in the receiving game the last few weeks.
Quarterback Tommy Castellanos, tight end Randy Pittman, running back Caziah Holmes, and offensive lineman Jonathan Daniels are all listed as probable.
FSU has an advantage; now they have to put it to good use.
