There is a very good chance that come the final game of 2025 against the LSU Tigers, the Oklahoma Sooners are fighting for a spot in the College Football Playoffs. If they beat the Alabama Crimson Tide this next week and win out from there, they will make it.

But, even if they don’t make it — let’s say they lose to Bama this week — that game will still be extremely important, but for other reasons. Let’s just say someone special will be in town, maybe a few people, and they’ll want to put on a show.

Sooners schedule visit for elite 2027 CB JuJu Johnson against LSU

Oklahoma is on a heater right now when it comes to recruiting, whether that’s for their 2026 class or their 2027 class. In the 26′ class, Oklahoma is working on flipping other players and getting guys who are decommitting from other schools who no longer have a head coach, like the Tigers or Florida Gators, for example. They are even going to be in the mix for recently decommitted Tigers’ recruit DeAnthony Lafayette.

However, in the 2027 class, they are stacking guys up over and over again, and it’s still early. As of right now, they have the No. 1 class in the country. Adding a cornerback like JuJu Johnson could make that class even more elite. They will have a chance to prove to him that they’re the right school when they host a visit against the Tigers.

“I like the coaching staff,” Johnson told Rivals. “I feel really confident with the coaching staff, especially with Stacey (Ford) coming over from UCLA. He’s up there at Oklahoma, and we’re talking. I have a good little bond with coach (Jay) Valai, and I’m just excited about my visit that I have set up with them later this month.”

Johnson, the four-star CB, is also interested in the Arizona State Sun Devils, Michigan Wolverines, Nebraska Cornhuskers, and the Oregon Ducks. The Long Beach, California native is currently predicted by Rivals to go with Nebraska or the USC Trojans. However, OU comes in with the fourth-highest projection to land him. Getting a good visit against LSU could change all of that.
