Lane Kiffin doesn’t sound like he’s going anywhere following huge Ole Miss Rebels victory over Florida Gators

Lane Kiffin makes it clear he wasn’t even thinking about all the off-field drama or Florida’ head coach vacancy amid Ole Miss win over the Gators.

Ole Miss fans have got to be tired of the “Lane Kiffin is leaving” nonsense. Florida Gators fans and media everywhere continues to try and push the idea that Kiffin should and will be leaving Ole Miss for Gainesville, but as long as the Rebels keep winning there just isn’t likely anything to that.

Kiffin continues to confirm he’s happier than ever, and after yet another win on Saturday – this time against the very team claiming to be on the fringe of stealing him away – the Ole Miss head coach did not sound like someone who was about to leave his team. He sounded like a focused man on a mission amid a College Football Playoff run.

Lane Kiffin “not thinking about” all the off-field drama amid Ole Miss win

Now that Ole Miss sits at 10-1 the Rebels are nearly a 100% lock to make the College Football Playoff. Lane Kiffin sits just one game away from his 50th victory in a five-year span for the Rebels, something the program has never done in its entire history. After the game, when Kiffin was asked about the headlines, and his thoughts on what the victory meant given all the noise surrounding him, this is what he had to say:

“Oh, I wasn’t thinking about that. I thought our guys played a really good second half obviously. We left the ball on the one-yard line and the three-yard line offensively. But our defense showed up. And this is a hard conference to win in, so to get to 10-1 is really awesome…Here’s the MVP right here (pointing to his running back Kewan Lacy).”

Kiffin just completely shrugged off all the noise about him potentially leaving Ole Miss once again – as he’s been doing throughout this entire season. He was just clearly bothered by his own failures offensively (falling short on two drives inside the five-yard line) and then giving credit where it was due, to his star running back Kewan Lacy (as you can see in the post below), who had an absurdly impressive game racking up over 200 yards.

Florida Gators fans, media, and others continue trying to act like a move for Lane Kiffin is inevitable, but there is simply zero reason for him to leave Ole Miss and the masses needed to catch up to this fact. The “Lane Kiffin will never win a title with Ole Miss” folks seriously might have their mouths shut as soon as the end of this season.

No, despite what Florida media keeps trying to leak, Lane Kiffin will not be announcing that he is leaving Ole Miss in the middle of what is clearly a College Football Playoff run. No, he will not be bouncing from Oxford on the bye week, after championship week, or any other time people want to continue asserting. It’s not happening. And every time Kiffin has had the chance he silences all of that noise. He credits his players because their success is making him a hot commodity, but then he just moves on because he’s not going anywhere. And yet again, after the Florida win, he tried to tell everyone as much. Just let one of the best coaches in the game keep doing his thing, and watch how far this Ole Miss Rebels team can go.
