The Florida Gators have done a really good job with their recruiting class after firing head coach Billy Napier in October.

Throughout the process, they haven’t had any players hit the transfer portal nor any recruits decommit, and only one has opted out to preserve his redshirt in wide receiver Tank Hawkins. Interim head coach Billy Gonzales has been excellent in calming the storm and keeping the Gators on the right track.

They may be 0-3 under Gonzales, but they have been in games late with the Georgia Bulldogs and Ole Miss Rebels.

Ohio State Buckeyes predicted to flip top Florida Gators commit

Even though Gonzales has done a good job in keeping the recruiting class intact, things are not going to stay that way forever. Rivals’ Steve Wiltfong has predicted the Ohio State Buckeyes to flip four-star cornerback C.J. Bronaugh.

It would be tough to lose Bronaugh, as he’s the No. 4 commit in Florida’s recruiting class. He recently took a visit to Columbus and came away really impressed.

“The atmosphere was crazy,” said Brougnaugh to Rivals. “They have an amazing fanbase. It’s exciting to talk to all the coaches and listen to the plan they have for me.”

Right now, the Gators’ recruiting class has 19 players, and Bronaugh is one of only two cornerbacks, with four-star C.J. Hester being the other. It’s likely not the only commit who will end up looking to flip, either, as multiple players have been taking visits to other schools with the future being uncertain.

Nothing is certain, as we’ve seen Fong Bombs be wrong before, but it’s not a good sign for the Gators.
