LSU 4-star signee drops quote about Lane Kiffin that will get Tigers fans fired up
Lane Kiffin is off to a hot start in Baton Rouge, as he’s already added some elite talent to the LSU Tigers’ roster.
New LSU Tigers head coach Lane Kiffin is off to a great start in Baton Rouge.
Kiffin joined LSU shortly before the start of the early signing period and locked down some elite talent.
One of the players that Kiffin signed is 2026 four-star defensive lineman Deuce Geralds.
Geralds, 6-foot-2/275 pounds from Suwanee, GA, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 6 defensive lineman in the nation and the No. 7 player in the state of Georgia.
The four-star recruit spoke to The Bengal Tiger this week about his recruitment and he dropped a quote about playing under Kiffin at LSU that will undoubtedly have Tigers fans fired up.
“The first thing he (Kiffin) did when he got on the phone with me was saying that he couldn’t get me at Ole Miss, so he had to come get me at LSU and come join me at LSU,” said Geralds. “He has a great personality and a great sense of humor. He’s a great, great coach — a great minded coach.
“With the combination of him and our class and this LSU football team and this LSU culture, I felt we are going to bring a national championship back to Baton Rouge, and I just can’t wait for it.”
Kiffin didn’t take the job at LSU just to reach the College Football Playoff or make some noise every couple of years. Instead, he’s on a mission to win a natty as quickly as possible. And it’s clear that he’s signing players who feel the same way.
