Hurricanes just found a way to somehow have Urban Meyer make himself look even worse than he already has
The Hurricanes just let their play do the talking vs. the Buckeyes.
The Miami Hurricanes did the unthinkable. Well, it’s unthinkable to any fans who don’t follow the Hurricanes. Almost everyone who follows this team and knows what it’s capable of knew it could beat the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Of course, there is Urban Meyer, who was once an elite coach in this sport. Now, Meyer spends his free time having bad takes on TV, like the one he had when he didn’t think Miami would score.
Urban Meyer has the worst take of the year on Miami and Ohio State
“I don’t think they can [Miami move the ball on Ohio State],” Urban Meyer said on The Herd. “Unless Ohio State does something very uncharacteristic and turns the ball over a few times, I don’t see how they, I just don’t see Miami driving the ball. I have seen very few people do that.
“I don’t see Ohio State moving the ball well either. This is going to be a slugfest. I just don’t see Miami scoring. I’ve told people that if Ohio State scores two touchdowns, they win that game. And I still believe that.”
The No. 10 seed beat the No. 2 seed in a game that Miami dominated, except for a drive or two. However, when you say it that way, it doesn’t really do it justice. Miami shouldn’t have been slept on the way it was slept on. Sure, it didn’t play a great schedule, but neither did OSU.
OSU played a tougher schedule and deserved to be ranked higher. No one is arguing that. The argument is that Miami shouldn’t have been undermined the way it was because the committee barely let them in. Watching them play all year long, it was clear they were one of the best teams in the country. They had some bad losses, just like every team other than Indiana did this season.
Miami played its best football when it mattered most. And, it shut Meyer up when it mattered most.
