One of the biggest issues for the Florida Gators has been recruiting. It hasn’t necessarily been bad over the last few seasons, but it’s not up to the Gator standard set by the likes of Steve Spurrier and Urban Meyer when they won national championships.

New head coach Jon Sumrall knows that recruiting is crucial to the Gators’ success, and he’s made it a top priority. The transfer portal class during this window has been excellent, and they are set to make a serious impact for the Gators this season, especially players like wide receiver Eric Singleton and quarterback Aaron Philo.

Florida Gators hosting 2026 recruit on a visit

While most of the 2026 class has signed, a few players are still looking for a new home. Sumrall is preparing to host a four-star defensive tackle this weekend in Dylan Berymon this weekend. He is the top unsigned recruit in the 2026 class.

The Gators have made the defensive line a major priority this offseason, and for good reason. They lost four starting-level players to the NFL Draft and transfer portal, including projected first-round pick defensive tackle Caleb Banks.

Berymon is a 6-1, 330-pound defensive tackle from Ouachita Parish in Monroe, Louisiana. He’s a four-star recruit, per the Rivals Industry Ranking, as the 229th overall recruit and 25th defensive lineman in the 2026 recruiting class.

After losing out on multiple defensive tackles in recruiting, the Gators had just four-star Kendall Guervil sign in the early signing period. The Gators will have a battle on their hands, as the Nebraska Cornhuskers lead the way at 85.7% prediction. It will be an uphill battle to get him to commit, but a visit is a great start to making that happen.

National Signing Day is Wednesday, Feb. 4, meaning this will be the last impression on Berymon before he makes his decision official.
