Latest 2026 Alabama commitment proves the Crimson Tide is aiming to create a legacy trio of brothers in Tuscaloosa
There will be two of the same names in Tuscaloosa this season, and it could lead to another in 2027.
The Alabama Crimson Tide coaching staff has been on a roll ever since the Rose Bowl. It was clear that the transfer portal was priority number one, but Alabama wanted to add some more depth and valuable recruits to its 2026 class.
All of those feats have been accomplished, and now, Alabama just received a 2026 commitment that could be a long play for the 2027 class.
Alabama receives commitment from 2026 ATH Amari Sabb
Amari is the brother of Alabama safety Keon Sabb, who will be back in Tuscaloosa this season after deciding to forgo the NFL Draft. Amari is a three star athlete who will bring some key depth and explosiveness to Alabama’s wide receiver room, his presumed spot in college. If he plays defensive back, then he has one of the best safety tandems in college there to teach him, seeing as Bray Hubbard is back as well.
However, Alabama may be playing the long game here.
Alabama is aiming for commitments from a trio of brothers, with Xavier Sabb on deck for 2027
WIth two Sabbs down, there is only one to go. Xavier Sabb may be the best of the three brothers when it’s all set and done. The four-star WR is the No. 1 athlete in the 2027 class and he won the Gatorade player of the Year in New Jersey for 2025.
He has an offer from Alabama and he will be among the most coveted recruits in the country ahead of his Senior year. Given what Alabama has done with his brothers and new WR coach Derrick Nix, there is a great chance that the Crimson Tide pull off the commitment and give itself a pair of dynamic receiver threats that just so happen to have the same last name, come 2027.
