Oregon LT Isaiah World faces new challenge as he enters the NFL Draft that could impact his career
This is brutal news for Oregon Ducks offensive tackle Isaiah World.
The offensive line class in the NFL Draft isn’t the strongest in 2026. There are some high-ranking prospects in Francis Mauigoa of the Miami Hurricanes and both Spencer Fano and Caleb Lomu of the Utah Utes. After the first round, the depth isn’t there like it has been in previous years.
One of those players who has some upside that will be available after the first round is Oregon Ducks offensive tackle Isaiah World. Unfortunately for him, his draft stock took a major hit at the end of the season.
Isaiah World suffered major injury in College Football Playoff
According to The Athletic’s Dane Brugler, World suffered a torn ACL against the Indiana Hoosiers in the College Football Playoff semifinals. It will take him out of the NFL Scouting Combine, which will make his evaluation that much harder.
World already faced an uphill battle to be selected on day two due to his profile. He is 6-8 and 318 pounds, but his height ended up being more of a deterrent than a positive. He doesn’t look like a fluid athlete on tape, showcasing stiff, segmented movements and bending his waist rather than his knees. He does have extensive in-game experience after transferring from Nevada, but his inconsistent film at Oregon makes his evaluation cloudy at best.
Without having the athletic testing available to him during the process and teams not being able to work him out and his rookie season being in doubt, World could see a fall down the draft board. It’s a difficult situation for anyone, but it might be worse for a player in World who has a lot of questions to answer.
