Florida Gators star defender confirms recent setback is a thing of the past with outstanding NFL Scouting Combine performance

The NFL Scouting Combine has been good to the Florida Gators.

Defensive tackle Caleb Banks measured incredibly well at over 6-6 and 327 pounds with 35″ arms. Edge rusher Tyreak Sapp didn’t run do much for athletic testing, but he looked really smooth when running drills. Edge rusher George Gumbs Jr. jumped 41″ in the vertical jump, marking one of the best jumps in edge rusher history.

Devin Moore has impressive combine performance coming off groin surgery

After the defensive line performed, we saw the defensive backs on Friday afternoon. The safeties were especially impressive on an overall level, but it was Florida cornerback Devin Moore who stood out.

At 6-3 and 198 pounds, Moore is one of the taller players at the position in this class, and he ran pretty well considering his size with a 4.5-second 40-yard dash and a 1.56-second 10-yard split. It’s pretty impressive for Moore to run that fast, and it could improve his NFL Draft stock significantly.

What’s even more impressive was the news we learned about Moore’s health heading into the combine. He had groin surgery back in December, which prevented him from doing any drills.

Moore running that well while not being 100% raises some questions. When you run that well not at 100%, it’s very impressive. It’s also fascinating that Moore might have an even better time in him. Plus, not being able to do agilities is a big thing for the time being. It creates an extra variable. If he can do that at his pro day in Gainesville, it will go a long way toward raising his draft stock.

Moore is going to get healthier, and it will take him to the next level in a good way. If he is able to do everything at his pro day, watch out.
