Sooners’ 2026 signee is already trash talking other players in the recruiting class who chose other schools over Oklahoma
The Sooners love the energy Bauer brings.
There aren’t many teams recruiting better than the Oklahoma Sooners when it comes to the value they’re getting. How many teams are hitting on non-blue-chip prospects like the Sooners are?
Just last season, Oklahoma’s starting corners were both former three-stars: a sophomore in Eli Bowen and a freshman in Courtland Guillory. In addition, perhaps their best defensive player, Taylor Wein, was a three-star, among several other standout contributors. Oklahoma excels at developing players who make early impacts, so it’s reasonable to expect that some freshmen in the 2026 recruiting class could see the field next season.
LeBron Bauer, who was one of the last signees in their 2026 class, is a guy everyone needs to be on the lookout for. Oklahoma made it their mission to get him late in the class for a reason, nd he already loves OU so much that he’s willing to trash-talk to players who didn’t choose. OU.
LeBron Bauer trash-talks 2027 recruit
“#1 2027 class in the country,” Bauer tweeted when the Sooners made all of the commits they made this last weekend.
“Ummm that’s a lie buddy… Ou isn’t Nebraska,” 2027 WR Tay Ellis replied to Bauer.
“Maybe in your dreams,” Bauer replied.
He’s already trash-talking players before he’s even played a snap for OU. They’re not the same player, but Bauer reminds me a ton of Courtland Guillory, as he has some key traits with Guillory, who emerged as a true freshman last season. Both are considered a bit undersized for their position—Bauer is 5’10, 160 pounds—yet they use that status to fuel their play.
Like Guillory, Bauer displays a high level of confidence and intensity, turning perceived weaknesses into strengths on the field. These are two players who compete relentlessly and stand out for their high motor. And even better, the trash talk is elite. Neither of these two dudes will let anyone walk all over them.
