LSU’s top 5-star recruiting target made a strong statement that has Tigers fans concerned
The LSU Tigers are hoping to flip 2027 five-star wide receiver Easton Royal from the Texas Longhorns.
LSU is getting closer to finding out if 2027 five-star wide receiver Easton Royal is going to flip from Texas.
Royal, who is from New Orleans, has been committed to the Longhorns since last November.
LSU, however, has been working hard to flip the five-star recruit.
Royal told Rivals.com this week that he’s getting very close to making a final decision after taking a round of visits this month.
He also dropped a comment about his commitment to Texas that has LSU fans a bit concerned.
“Their (Texas) offense looks very explosive,” said Royal to Rivals.com. “I really feel like that their offense can be one of the best, if not the best offense in the country. They just continue to show me why I made the right decision last November. We’ve continued to build them with the coaches, and they have just been showing me how they’re going to develop me.”
For months it’s been speculated that Texas would win this recruiting battle, but Royal sounds like he’s confident in the decision he made last year.
You never know in recruiting, so it’s still possible that LSU could land Royal. But it doesn’t feel nearly as certain to happen as it did a couple of months ago.
