As the College Football Playoff prepares to start next week, the historic rivalry between Army and Navy is set to culminate the 2024 season with the Army-Navy Game. Army recently clinched the AAC title by defeating Tulane in the conference championship, while Navy has enjoyed a solid season, finishing 8-3.

Annually, the top team in the Army, Navy, and Air Force rivalry claims the Commander-In-Chief's Trophy.

Last year, Army secured a 17-11 victory over Navy, taking home the prestigious trophy. This year, both teams triumphed over Air Force, so the winner of Saturday's showdown will also claim the trophy.

A victory for the Midshipmen would grant them the CIC title outright for the first time since 2019, after splitting the series in 2021. On the other hand, an Army win would mean they would hold the trophy for the second consecutive year and achieve their third straight victory over their fierce rivals.
