2028 3-star QB Knox Kiffin, the son of LSU head coach Lane Kiffin, is set to visit an SEC rival this weekend
Lane Kiffin’s son Knox will check out another SEC program on a recruiting visit this weekend.
2028 three-star quarterback Knox Kiffin, the son of LSU head coach Lane Kiffin, will take a visit this weekend to an SEC rival.
According to On3, the Missouri Tigers will host Knox on a recruiting visit this weekend.
“Knox Kiffin will be a part of one of Mizzou’s biggest recruiting weekends of the season,” noted On3’s Sam Spiegelman. “The Tigers have been one of the favorites in Kiffin’s recruitment since landing an offer ahead of his junior campaign.”
Knox, 6-foot-2/180 lbs, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 70 quarterback in the nation and the No. 22 player in the state of Louisiana.
Missouri is viewed as the front runner for Knox, but Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, and Vanderbilt are also in the mix for the three-star quarterback.
Plans can always change, but Knox has said in the past that he doesn’t want to play for his dad.
“I’m definitely not going to play for my dad,” said Knox last fall. “I want to do my own stuff.
“I understand what Shedeur (Sanders) did but I don’t want to be in the position for fans to say, ‘The only reason you’re playing is because of your dad.’ I want to beat my dad,” continued Knox. “I want to play against him, not play with him….He understands. Sometimes he’ll be like, ‘Oh, you should play with me,’ but he understands that I want to start my own thing, my own legacy.”
LSU, for what it’s worth, doesn’t play Missouri this season.
