Lane Kiffin wasn’t able to fool Nick Saban this week ahead of the big LSU vs Ole Miss showdown.
LSU head coach Lane Kiffin generated plenty of headlines this week (as he usually does) when he listed Tigers quarterback Sam Leavitt as doubtful on the SEC injury report.
Most fans and analysts assumed it was a show of gamesmanship from Kiffin ahead of LSU’s big game against Ole Miss.
That was seemingly confirmed when Leavitt was upgraded to questionable on Thursday.
Former Alabama head coach Nick Saban isn’t buying that Leavitt is hurt. Saban, in fact, made it clear on Friday that he doesn’t think there’s anything wrong with Leavitt.
“If I was a betting man, I would say there’s absolutely nothing wrong with Sam Leavitt,” said Saban, before adding that he “100 percent” expects Leavitt to play against Ole Miss.
Good try Lane, but you’re not fooling the greatest coach of all time.
We’ll see how healthy Leavitt is on Saturday night when LSU visits Oxford for what may end up being the game of the year.
