The LSU Tigers got their first win of the season this past Saturday night when they beat Nicholls State of the FCS by a score of 44-21. The game was far closer than it should have been for the Tigers but they figured things out, including quarterback Garrett Nussmeier, who threw six touchdowns the win.
The defense still showed struggles, including allowing 21 points to an FCS opponent. The Tigers never trailed in the game but shouldn't have played that poorly. It was the last game before they open up SEC play and they will do so on the road against South Carolina.
Here is how you can watch the Tigers take on the Gamecocks.

It's a big game for the Tigers as they take on the Gamecocks in their SEC opener. The Gamecocks are coming off of a big win against Kentucky on the road by a score of 31-6 and have looked like an improved football team from the 2023 squad.
If the Tigers are going to compete for a playoff spot, this is a must-win game for them. It's the conference opener for the Tigers but dropping to 1-2 overall with Alabama, Ole Miss and Oklahoma on the schedule just isn't something they can have happen.
