One of LSU’s latest commits may have just spilled the beans on the Tigers’ next big addition
One of LSU Football’s latest commits made some comments about the Tigers this week that’s catching some eyes down in Baton Rouge.
One of the LSU Tigers’ most recent additions made some comments this week that’s making fans in Baton Rouge take notice.
2027 four-star running back Trey Martin committed to LSU last month.
Martin, 5-foot-10/202 pounds from Winnsboro, LA, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 14 running back in the nation and the No. 6 player in the state of Louisiana. He committed to LSU over Florida and LSU.
The talented running back told On3 this week that part of the reason he committed to LSU is because he knows the Tigers are going to win under Lane Kiffin.
Martin, in fact, thinks LSU could win it all in Kiffin’s first season in Baton Rouge.
He also may have spilled the beans on five-star wide receiver Easton Royal’s upcoming decision.
Royal is committed to Texas, but LSU is hoping to flip him. He’s expected to make a decision sometime this month.
Martin’s comments to On3 this week made it sound like Royal is already a Tiger.
“The best in the Boot stay in the Boot,” said Martin. “We have a lot of great guys like Pop (Houston) and Easton (Royal). We’re going to build a great class… They (LSU) don’t play. I know they’re gonna win, and they might even win a national championship this year.”
Royal is still technically committed to Texas, but Martin sure seems to sound confident that he’ll be part of LSU’s class.
Nothing is ever final in recruiting until the ink dries on signing day (and even then it might not be final), but it certainly sounds like LSU could be getting some good news in the Easton Royal sweepstakes later this month.
