Oklahoma Sooners at nearly every position are showcasing how elite they can be at the next level this weekend. 10 guys went to the NFL Draft Combine, and most of them, if not all of them, are doing some impressive things.

This is where players entering the NFL Draft meet with teams and hold formal meetings. They also talk to the media, and then, towards the end of the week, they participate in drills to showcase athleticism and IQ, if they choose to. On the first day of workouts and drills, Sooners defensive tackle Gracen Halton showed off some elite traits, pushing him up the team’s draft boards just based on some of the tangible things he’s shown. Of course, it also helps when you have players from other big-time schools talking about you, too.

Alabama IOL Parker Brailsford sends some praise towards Sooners DT Gracen Halton

“In practice, me and Tim Keenan go at it a lot. That’s a guy, he’s a good player. There’s actually a young buck who’s doing pretty well, London. In season, I would say Gracen Halton from Oklahoma. He’s a good player,” Alabama offensive lineman Parker Brailsford said at the NFL Draft Combine when asked who gave him a tough matchup in 2025.

Halton has been one of the biggest standouts of the NFL Draft Combine. He finished with the third-fastest 40-yard dash time among DTs with a 4.82, the fifth-best 10-yard split at 1.70, the best vertical jump at 36.5 inches, the third-best broad jump at 9”6’, fourth-best three-cone at 8.09, and the fourth-best 20-yard shuttle at 4.79. Those alone will make teams more interested in him than they already were.

Then, you add in that SEC rival players are saying he is their toughest matchup, and it certainly gives him a bit of a boost. Brailsford is a top-ten center in this draft class, and he played at a big-time school, anchoring down the Alabama Crimson Tide interior. So, people will be listening to what he just said about Halton.
