The Oklahoma Sooners have the No. 1 class in the 2027 recruiting cycle. But everyone knows that. As for 2028, they don’t have a commitment yet, which is fine. It’s still extremely early in the cycle, too early to be worried about anything. However, it is obvious they are using the momentum from the 2027 class to load up for the 2028 class.

Using On3’s recruiting database to show every team’s offers, you will see that OU has offered all of the top players in the 2028 recruiting class. And, they have the No. 3 player in the class at the Sooners Elite Camp. This week, he was showing out and proving why he is one of the best players in next year’s cycle. Five-star defensive tackle Kellen Hall is a monster, and some of the camp clips showing the reps he’s winning are insane.

In one of the clips we have seen, Hall lines up in his stance and, as soon as the whistle is blown, just absolutely obliterates the offensive lineman. The drill is a pass-rush, offensive-line drill where they go one-on-one, and Hall pancaked the OL, making him fall flat on his back. That’s just a glimpse of how good Hall is going to be.

Kellen Hall should be a top priority for the Oklahoma Sooners

Getting these kids on campus is huge. This is another way to show them what they could be if they went to OU. Not to mention, it certainly helped to have David Stone and Taylor Wein there to coach them up. Those two could be first-round picks next season.

Hall, the Louisville, Kentucky native, is 6’5, 275. He has the size to play in the SEC right now. And, his tools may be good enough to do that, too. He’s only going to get better and has some elite potential. He showed it this week.
