The Ole Miss Rebels have encountered quite a problem over the last few days, and now it's coming out that one of their players on the roster right now, will no longer be with the team. In other words, he will likely join a new team for next season.

Former Oklahoma Sooners defensive back key Lawrence played in 12 games last season for the Sooners, starting six of those. However, with the emergence of Billy Bowman, Peyton Bowen, and Robert Spears-Jennings, Lawrence knew he would not get the playing time he wanted in 2024.

So, he transferred to Ole Miss, where he felt like he could potentially get some good playing time. He has yet to make any sort of impact for the Rebels, and we are six games into the season.

Now, on Monday, after the Rebels lost to the LSU Tigers over the weekend, Lawrence is no longer with the team and plans to redshirt, meaning that he could be on a different team in 2025 unless he decides to come back.

The Rebels secondary is a fine group, but one that could use the depth, as could any team. But, they will have to make do without Lawrence.
