The Atlanta Falcons wrapped up Thursday's practice and released their second injury ahead of their Week 1 tilt against the Carolina Panthers.
Cornerback Jeff Okudah did not practice for the second day in a row as he deals with an ankle injury.
Running back (joker) Cordarrelle Patterson was limited again with a thigh injury, while veteran tight end Jonnu Smith returned in full after having a rest day. The good news is that wide receiver KhaDarel Hodge practiced in full after being limited on Wednesday with an ankle injury.
Check out Thursday's injury report below:
| Player | Injury | Wednesday | Thursday |
|---|---|---|---|
CB Jeff Okudah | Ankle | DNP | DNP |
TE Jonnu Smith | Rest | DNP | – |
RB (J) Cordarrelle Patterson | Thigh | LP | LP |
WR KhaDarel Hodge | Ankle | LP | FP |
KEY: DNP = Did not participate | LP = Limited participation | FP = Full participation | NIR = Not injury related
Injury report observations:
- Before Wednesday's practice, Patterson had been sidelined with a soft-tissue injury since mid-August.
- Okudah has been nursing an ankle injury since Aug. 5. Falcons HC Arthur Smith told reporters on Wednesday that Okudah was "getting close" to returning.
- Hodge had also been out with an ankle injury he sustained during Atlanta's second preseason game but appears to be healthy again.
