It's obvious that Anthony Richardson's performance will have a massive impact on the success of the 2024 Indianapolis Colts.
But NFL analyst Dan Orlovsky of ESPN thinks his impact goes even further than just the Colts; he thinks he could shake up the entire NFL.
Orlovsky stated that Richardson is an "Under the radar player who could throw the whole league off if he takes the leap." And I think he is absolutely correct.
For example, many are penciling in the Houston Texans as the winners of the AFC South in 2024. If Richardson can take a leap forward as a player and help the Colts win the South, that would shake up the league significantly. Now, if he can help the Colts become one of the top teams in a stacked AFC, that would also shock many who follow the NFL.
The juggernauts in the AFC include the Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, Buffalo Bills, Baltimore Ravens, and the Miami Dolphins. Many already want to include the Texans after the impressive rookie season from CJ Stroud. But who knows, maybe Richardson and the Colts can knock the Texans and a couple of other teams on that list out of that tier by themselves, emerging as contenders in 2024.
