The Kansas City Chiefs have revealed their inactive players ahead of Week 3 kickoff vs. the Miami Dolphins.
The Kansas City Chiefs have announced their inactive players ahead of their Week 3 tilt with the Miami Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium.
LT Josh Simmons and S Chamarri Conner will be inactive for the third consecutive week. Conner was officially ruled out a few hours ahead of the game after being listed as doubtful. That said, the Chiefs made a handful of other inactive decisions that aren’t injury-related. They have seven players inactive for the game. Remember, only 48 players can be active on game day.

A newcomer makes their Chiefs debut in Week 3
As I predicted, Chiefs DE Tyreke Smith is not active for Sunday’s game against the Dolphins. The practice squad elevation was merely a means to reward him with a game check. It’s a good move and one that keeps players around on the practice squad when other teams might come calling.
Another prediction of mine? The Chiefs are playing a newcomer in Week 3 against the Dolphins. Bryson Eason (waivers) will suit up and play for the first time on Sunday. This gives Kansas City a good look to see whether he’s got a future with the Chiefs. Eason is especially interesting given that his former team, the San Francisco 49ers, have dealt with so many injuries on the defensive line. If K.C. doesn’t like what they see, I wonder if they wouldn’t consider shipping him back to the 49ers in a trade?
Regardless, Week 3 will be a good test of what the UDFA rookie out of Tennessee has.
