The NIL era has has had a huge impact on the world of college football over the past fews. Look no further than the absolutely wild Nico Iamaleava situation with Tennessee this past week. It's done some pretty rough things to the sport overall. However, it's also created some hilarious moments thanks to personalities like Lane Kiffin. And yes, he was at it again this week with his hilarious antics.

Lane Kiffin joined the Pivot Podcast to talk through his journey as a head coach, family, personal growth and more, but one funny moment stood out when discussions surrounding NIL popped up.

As many are well aware at this point, Carson Beck (former Georgia quarterback) transferred to play for the Miami Hurricanes this offseason and was apparently extremely well compensated. Initial reporting suggested that Beck is set to received somewhere around $4 million dollars for his services (although this has not been proven).

When "4.3 million dollars" was brought up by Ryan Clark on the Pivot Podcast as the potential number Carson Beck was offered, Lane Kiffin couldn't help himself:

"Miami gave him 4.3 million dollars? Did they watch his game against us?…[Laughing]…I was trying not to go there. You set up."

You can see the hilarious moment in the video post below.

Ole Miss fans likely remember the game against the Georgia Bulldogs well. And as Lane Kiffin rightfully laughs about here, Beck had an absolutely atrocious game. Somehow the quarterback who couldn't throw for even 200 yards, took five sacks, and tossed an interception against Ole Miss is worth something close to four million dollars. Hilarious.

Despite the game the Bulldogs starting out rough initially for Ole Miss, going down 7-0 quickly, the Rebels would go on to outscore Georgia 28-3 from that point on. Thanks much in part to Carson Beck's complete failure to do anything, and of course the ferocious defense of Ole Miss.

Even when it looked like Georgia could be attempting to make some sort of late comeback, John Saunders Jr. picked off Carson Beck (as you can see in the post from Ole Miss below).

Then immediately following yet another strong drive and field goal from the Ole Miss Rebels, Carson Beck was taken down for his fifth time of the game for a sack.

Princely Umanmielen, Jared Ivey, and Suntarine Perkins had Beck completely shook throughout the entirety of the game. This strip sack play from Umanmielen and recovery by Perkins just summed up the game for Beck perfectly.

The win against Georgia–ranked second in the nation at the time–would spark the rise for Jaxson Dart as he climbed swiftly up NFL Draft boards, push Ole Miss firmly into the College Football Playoff discussion, and solidify the Rebels defense as the best in the entire nation.

Although Lane Kiffin was clearly just joking about Carson Beck and his alleged payment from Miami, he really did have a good point. The quarterback that Ole Miss utterly obliterated last November should in no way shape or form be deserving of four million dollars for his services this year.
