Considered a consensus four-star recruit in the 2024 class, quarterback Walker White was very well thought about coming out of Little Rock (Ark.) Christian Academy. White was considered to be the No. 41 overall player and No. 5 quarterback in the class according to 247Sports. He was a massive get for the Auburn Tigers at the time, and viewed as potentially the future of the program.

It didn’t work out between Auburn and White, and the freshman opted to enter the transfer portal last week. What the exact market looks like is a little bit of a question mark right now, but White is set for an official visit on Friday. He will be visiting Baylor, which would be an interesting potential fit.

After head coach Dave Aranda was on a bit of a hot seat heading into the season, the Bears had a nice bounceback season in 2024. They sit with an 8-4 overall record heading into bowl season, which is the most they have had as a program since going 12-2 in 2021.

Baylor is set at quarterback heading into the 2025 season with Sawyer Robertson expected to return. The former Mississippi State passer has had a breakout campaign this fall. In 12 games he has thrown for 2,626 yards and 26 touchdowns. Robertson has also rushed for another 227 yards and four scores on the ground, on top of only throwing seven interceptions.

If White does end up with Baylor, it could be an ideal spot for him. He will have a chance to learn from Robertson, and could potentially be the starter heading into the 2026 season. The 6-3, 215-pound passer has a lot of tools he brings to the table. White is a young signal caller worth monitoring this portal season.
