Final score predictions for Georgia vs. Auburn: Can Jackson Arnold finally avoid pressure against the Bulldogs’ weak pass rush?
Hugh Freeze needs a big win, but Kirby Smart and Georgia have dominated Auburn
The Georgia Bulldogs and Auburn Tigers are both potentially competing for their entire season here in this epic annual SEC rivalry.
Quarterback Gunner Stockton finally looks like he’s emerging as a true field general who can hit the down field shots, avoid pressure, and make plays with his legs. Jackson Arnold looks like the biggest sack liability in football.
Kirby Smart and Georgia have won this rivalry game eight times in a row, never allowing Auburn to score more than 20 points in his entire tenure with the Bulldogs. However, Hugh Freeze is 14-16 as Auburn’s head coach and desperately needs a legacy-defining win.
Both teams already have a loss (Auburn has two), so the entire 2025 season could turn on its head here for the loser. The winner likely emerges as a contender to make the College Football Playoff. Given how important this SEC rivalry game looks to be, members from A to Z Sports who cover both teams decided to weigh in to predict a victor. The picks are in. Enjoy!

Georgia 24, Auburn 19
Georgia looks like the easy pick here given their only loss is to Alabama and they’re looking dominant now that Gunner Stockton’s finally developing into a complete weapon at quarterback. However, this game is likely going to be a whole lot closer than many think. Why? Georgia’s pass rush has been nonexistent, so the one area of greatest weakness for Auburn may not be exploited this week.
Georgia barely ranks inside the top 120 teams in defensive sacks and pressures generated. Auburn ranks dead last in sacks taken. Whichever terrible unit finds a way to be less of a colossal failure there will likely win the day. Ultimately, Kirby Smart’s coaching and defensive creativity likely does enough to confuse Jackson Arnold (apparently not a difficult task). That said, Auburn’s top notch defense likely keeps this within one possession all game long with talents like Keldric Faulk and Keyron Crawford making life miserable off the edge. – Travis May, A to Z Sports CFB & NFL Draft Managing Editor
Georgia 30, Auburn 21
The Georgia Bulldogs bounced back in a big way last week, finding their groove on both offense and defense with a dominate win over the Kentucky Wildcats. Now, they’ll aim to keep that momentum rolling when they face the Auburn Tigers on Saturday night. Statistically, the two offenses aren’t worlds apart. Georgia averages 34.6 points per game, while Auburn puts up 27.6, but the edge still goes to the Dawgs. With Gunner Stockton’s dual-threat capabilities and endless weapons at his disposal, Georgia’s offense should be able to handle its business. The key, however, will be the defense. They’ll need to deliver a complete and mistake-free performance across all four quarters, especially late in the game where they appear the most vulnerable. If that happens, I think the Bulldogs wreck Auburn on their home turf and Stockton shuts up the doubters even more. – Kelsey Kramer, A to Z Sports Georgia

Unfortunately for the Tigers, who started the season looking pretty good, this is where things start to go downhill for them. They play Georgia this week, Missouri next, and still have Vanderbilt and the Alabama Crimson Tide on their schedule. That’s not even counting games against Kentucky and Arkansas that are easily losable in this conference. This game against Georgia is where it all starts. Georgia is too good on both sides of the ball compared to what Auburn has to offer. I’m predicting a blowout in this game, and a final score that really makes Hugh Freeze start to think about young five star quarterback Deuce Knight and what he could look like in the offense. Georgia 40, Auburn 28
After starting hot, the Auburn Tigers played two real opponents via Oklahoma and Texas A&M, and floundered in both contests. Now they have a Georgia team that took their anger out on Kentucky last week, coming to town. The Bulldogs likely view Auburn as a mere speed bump. Georgia is much better at critical factor positions, and Kirby Smart is attempting to correct course after losing to Alabama yet again in 2025. I think Smart and his staff out-coach Hugh Freeze, and they turn Jackson Arnold into a pumpkin against arguably the best defense he’s seen all year. Give me the Dawgs in a definitive win. – Rob Gregson, A to Z Sports Alabama

Final Score Predictions for Georgia vs. Auburn
The A to Z Sports staff is pretty confident that Kirby Smart’s historical dominance and coaching edge wins the day here over Hugh Freeze and Auburn. On average, our team projects Georgia to win 30-20 over the Tigers. That’s quite a bit more bullish on the Bulldogs than betting markets, but Auburn simply hasn’t looked competent at all on offense in nearly a month. This looks like yet another victory for Georgia as they march toward the College Football Playoff.
