It sounds like some bad 5-star recruiting news could be on the way for Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers
Some not-so-good recruiting news concerning a 2027 five-star commit could be on the way soon for Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers football program.
Lane Kiffin and the LSU Tigers could be in danger of receiving some bad recruiting news.
2027 five-star EDGE Jaiden Bryant has been committed to LSU since early January, but other programs have continued to recruit him.
Bryant, 6-foot-4/245 pounds from Columbia, SC, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 2 EDGE in the nation and the No. 1 player in the state of South Carolina. He’s also rated as the No. 20 overall player in the 2027 recruiting class.
Miami is a real threat to flip Jaiden Bryant from LSU
According to 247Sports’ Tom Loy, the Miami Hurricanes are “absolutely a threat” to swipe Bryant from LSU.
“Despite being committed to LSU, this recruitment doesn’t look completely over yet,” wrote Loy this week. “Miami is absolutely a threat to land him, so look for these two programs to continue working on the elite talent.”
One big thing is working in LSU’s favor in the battle for Jaiden Bryant
The note from Loy is undoubtedly worrisome for LSU fans, but the Tigers have one big thing working in their favor.
Bryant is scheduled to begin taking official visits later this month. His first official visit is Miami on May 29. Bryant will then take official visits to Texas A&M and South Carolina before wrapping up with an official visit to LSU on June 19.
Getting the final official visit is always preferred. Maybe that will be enough for LSU to fend off Miami in this recruiting battle.
