The Florida Gators and Auburn Tigers are both 2-0 heading into their SEC openers, a first for Jon Sumrall and Alex Golesh.
Last season, the Florida Gators facing the Ole Miss Rebels in Oxford was one of the more entertaining games of the season. It ended in a 34-24 win for the Rebels. The key to success in that game was quarterback Trinidad Chambliss, and he’s still playing great football.
Stopping him is going to be key for the Gators on defense. Luckily, they have some impressive players on the defensive front to stop them. Jayden Woods and Emmanuel Oyebadejo have both thrived this season, being the Gators’ top pressure and sack creators.
The biggest matchup will be when the Gators are on offense, as Jadan Baugh is one of the more impressive players in the nation. You could argue that he’s the frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy after running for 458 yards and eight touchdowns at an 8.5 YPC clip.
