Lane Kiffin’s viral moment with opposing player is not what people are making it out to be and it’s making some fans look really foolish

LSU head coach Lane Kiffin went viral on Saturday during the Tigers’ win against McNeese State for a funny sideline interaction with an opposing player.
At one point during LSU’s 63-14 win, McNeese State wide receiver Solo Lewis made an impressive sideline catch right in front of Kiffin.
Kiffin gave Lewis some love for making the catch and the clip quickly went viral.
It didn’t take long for some fans to suggest that Kiffin was trying to recruit Lewis to the portal with the move.

There’s essentially no chance that Lewis ever plays for LSU.
For starters, he has just 42 receptions for 445 yards and four touchdowns in his career.
Secondly, Lewis was a class of 2021 recruit. This is his sixth college season after spending four seasons at Louisiana Tech and one season at Nicholls.
Unfortunately for the haters, this was just Kiffin genuinely showing some love to another player — who is from Louisiana, by the way — for making an incredible play.
