Start times for the beginning of Florida Gators’ football schedule has been revealed
The Florida Gators already knew who there were going to play on what days, and now they know when they will play them.
The Florida Gators are going to be taking the field under head coach Jon Sumrall this season for the first time. After going 22-23 under Billy Napier, Sumrall is hoping to turn things around for a once-storied program.
Over the course of the season, the Gators will be playing some interesting teams, including the first season without a game against the Tennessee Volunteers since 1989.
Florida Gators announce start times for multiple games
Over the first three weeks of the season, the Gators will play two easier games along with traveling to face the Auburn Tigers. Those games now have official start times, joining their matchup against the Florida State Seminoles.
- Saturday, September 5th vs. Florida Atlantic Owls: 7:45 P.M. ET (SEC Network)
- Saturday, September 12th vs. Campbell Fighting Campbells: 5:30 P.M. ET (SECN +)
- Saturday, September 19th at Auburn Tigers: 7:00 P.M. ET (ESPN)
- Friday, November 27th at Florida State Seminoles: 3:30 P.M. ET (ABC)
It shouldn’t be much of a surprise that the first two games will be on the SEC Network. Florida Atlantic is a Group of Five team, while Campbell plays in the FCS. They used a similar approach last season, but the Gators lost to the South Florida Bulls in Week 2.
It shouldn’t be a surprise to see the Gators play on ESPN on Week 3, as it’s a fascinating matchup to focus on with two new head coaches in Sumrall and Alex Golesh.
