Gators continue securing recruiting wins by landing another excellent recruit from a state outside of Florida

Florida Gators head coach Jon Sumrall secures another top recruit in the secondary, marking the sixth in that room in the 2027 class.

Florida Gators head coach Jon Sumrall continues recruiting at a high level, and has landed a second cornerback commitment in the last 24 hours. Four-star Raheem Floyd out of East Saint Louis has committed to the Gators, beating out the hometown Missouri Tigers.

The commitment of Floyd was expected for some time, and he becomes the sixth player in the secondary.

It’s a massive coup for the Gators. Floyd is the No. 170 overall recruit and the No. 22 cornerback. He’s the 17th blue chip recruit, and the No. 10 ranked commitment in the class of 2027,

It’s a huge win for the Gators as they continue moving forward with this class. He likely signals the end of their pursuits in the secondary, as Sumrall and defensive coordinator Brad White have made a huge impact in reshaping the secondary.

WIth Floyd’s commitment, the Gators remain with the No. 8 recruiting class, and it now has 26 commitments.
